SOCIETY, through existing leaderships, NGOs, CSOs and other communities, must take up this cause as their own, now made possible through the books and resources we have shared, in their own interest and SOCIETY'S!
This is a democratised and decentralised GLOBAL campaign. Every society must act, of its own volition, if it will find any lasting meaning, considering the nature and scale of it.
We, therefore, encourage all to act, and lead, in their capacity and in their own space, for CHANGE, given the solutions they have now found in their hands; dropped by a bird to the ground.
We will add to the voice of society; and here we make our opinions and guidance known...
The DOs
Discuss It. All Day, Everyday
If you’re an individual without the resources to “do anything,” simply commit to discussing the contents of the book(s), all day, EVERYDAY:
- Talk about it on social media and in the office, and everywhere else.
- Talk about it in your chat groups and other online groups.
- Follow us and share our social media posts to reach more people.
- Text or call in to radio and TV shows to point them to the solutions proposed in the book(s).
- Post on the social media pages of, or directly contact, influential people, to look into the solutions proposed.
These simple acts will cost you nothing, yet make ALL the difference! Remember you have a responsibility: in doing this you do it not for us, but yourself, your future, your children, your country and everyone around you! We are responsible, all of us, for the actions and inactions we take to affect ourselves and others.
As much as possible, also join in all the actions or events by relevant communities that you can. But AT LEAST, do the above!
Use Your Platform
If you are a journalist, media house or anyone with a voice and an audience, a duty falls on you to use your platform to help society in its greatest time of need, to solve its biggest challenges and save countless lives and dreams. If there was or will ever be a time to test your virtues, this is it; it’s time to help.
Lead the Campaign
If you’re an organisation truly with the welfare and future of society at heart, there can be no better purpose for your time and resources at this time than the goals of the book(s). Partner with us to, or independently:
- Help get the book(s) to as many people as possible.
- Print and distribute pamphlets of key points from the book(s) for educational campaigns.
- Produce and sell/distribute souvenirs or paraphernalia for the campaigns.
- Lobby for and/or run your own ads (billboard, TV, radio or social media) to create awareness around demands of the book(s).
- Lead public engagements on, demands for, and implementation of recommendations in the book(s).
Re-evaluate Your Position
If you are a security officer, government functionary or politician of the old system, take a moment to re-evaluate yourself, your deeds and your position kindly, and as much as possible figure out who you are and who you want to help: society, YOUR society, and the fellow citizens passionately saving it for YOU, your children and everyone else, or those continuously failing it? Open your eyes, avoid being on the wrong side of history, eschew all false “us vs. them” ideas and join society as we all join hands to create something new and better for us all.
If you are a relative of someone abusing the system, talk to them; you have a responsibility to.
Call Your Reps/MPs Now
Not figuratively or supposedly. Literally, as a community, call your representatives to appear physically in front of you in the community RIGHT NOW, place your demands in front of them, and ask them to immediately pursue it in parliament or congress; or forget they ever knew you. Test them this once and see if they are really there for you, and remember it. Make your demands now, and take no excuses.
Withdraw Your Services and Contributions
Consider the possibility of an indefinite strike, wherever you work (except those offering vital services such as healthcare), until demands are met. If as many unions as possible in a country, seeing the worth of this cause, can all agree to lay down their tools – if the entire economy grinds to a halt – until the stipulated demands are met, it will offer the swiftest response. What is the point, after all, in slaving for a system that has no hope, and will not change given alternatives on a silver platter? Such a system would be boldly confirming its endless malice to you.
Boycott Its Perpetuators
Even though it might cost you convenience or even money, consider boycotting the products and services or all activities of the government, and businesses that continue to support it and its failures by refusing to take a stand. Campaign leaders should make a list of all such entities to be boycotted and advertise it.
DONTs
Don't Oust a Leader
Do not remove a leader for changes to be effected. Only ensure that, under the present system and schedule, whoever is in charge complies with demands, until such time that the system itself is duly changed.
Avoid Aggression
As much as possible, do not use aggression; avoid situations that risk same. Use intelligent plays instead.
Don't Let Protests Degenerate
DEFINITELY rally, to garner, gauge, signal and galvanise as much awareness and support as possible for the cause, and to pressure authorities to do the right things, but also make calculated and effective moves a mainstay. Explore the suggestions above and more like those, to force the hand of the system, to cleanly yet swiftly and effectively give in.
